In celebration of 2025 National Women’s Month, the City Health Office of Mati offered free cervical cancer screening to Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) female employees, aged 30 to 65. The activity was held on March 26 in front of the DOrSU Academic Building, utilizing the CHO’s Mobile Surgical Unit.
The free screening was conducted through Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA), a method for early detection and prevention of cervical cancer— one of the top three leading causes of death among women.
This health initiative is part of the program “Serbisyo Para Kay Juana,” organized by the DOrSU Center for Gender and Development, in collaboration with the City Health Office of Mati, DOrSU Office of Health Services, and DOSCST Multipurpose Cooperative.
