𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐁𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐒!

The Davao Oriental State University is pleased to announce the call for abstracts for the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 happening on October 20–22, 2026.


Bearing the theme, “𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨: 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙄 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚,” this year’s conference will feature the following thematic sessions:

• Regenerating Ecosystems: Boosting Biodiversity for Future Generations

• Integrating Humans and Biodiversity: Advancing Social Resilience in Changing Environments

• Harnessing Innovation, AI, and Data Science: Building a Resilient Future through Technology and Biodiversity

• Confronting Biodiversity Threats: Strategies for a Resilient Future


Participants may also take part in the 𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬, which will offer hands-on training and practical discussions on tools and approaches used in biodiversity research and innovation.

The workshops include:

• Remote Sensing Application for Bathymetric Estimation and Sediment Classification (𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘏𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘢 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘑𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘯)

• Mapping Biodiversity with MaxEnt: A Hands-On Workshop on Species Distribution Modeling (𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘰 𝘖𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴)


The deadline for abstract submissions is 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, while registration for the Pre-Conference Workshops closes on 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.
