The Catalyst headed by a President and supervised by a faculty as its Adviser is a special student organization under the Student Services Division of Davao Oriental State University that caters to the needs and interests of the graduating students. Its major goal is to provide the senior students with a repository of their memories – a yearbook.

The Catalyst envisions an organization to provide quality services to its clientele particularly to the DorSU graduating students in terms of yearbook production and to faster good and harmonious relationships among the members in the organizations. It upholds the vision of the institution in creating a culture of excellence, innovation and inclusion.
