New Batch of RIE, Auxiliary Services Personnel Now on Board

A new batch of personnel assigned to the Research, Innovation, and Extension (RIE) Division and Auxiliary Services officially began their service at Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) following a two-day orientation program held on September 1โ2, 2026.
The orientation introduced the new personnel to University policies, workplace procedures, institutional values, and their duties and responsibilities as DOrSU employees.
The first day opened with welcome messages and the introduction of the newly hired personnel. Office heads and supervisors were also introduced during the program. Participants then attended orientation sessions on DOrSUโs Vision, Mission, Goals, and Core Values, as well as the Universityโs organizational culture.
The program also included sessions on the functions and initiatives of Auxiliary Services and the Research, Innovation, and Extension Division. These discussions gave the participants a clearer understanding of their roles and how their work contributes to the Universityโs operations and development agenda.
The orientation covered essential workplace policies and concerns, including government employee regulations, ethical standards, accountability, attendance and leave policies, performance management, compensation and benefits, and other human resource matters.
Participants also attended sessions on workplace safety and security, emergency protocols, gender sensitivity, and ISO standards. Icebreaker and team-building activities encouraged them to build camaraderie and strengthen connections with their fellow employees.
A pledge of commitment and an onboarding ceremony concluded the first dayโs activities. Through these activities, the new personnel affirmed their commitment to uphold the responsibilities, values, and standards expected of DOrSU employees.
On the second day, the newly hired personnel proceeded to their respective offices and units for workplace familiarization and orientation. They received briefings on office work plans, targets, deliverables, performance expectations, work systems, coordination mechanisms, communication protocols, and administrative procedures.
The two-day activity marked the beginning of the new personnelโs professional journey at DOrSU. It equipped them with the knowledge and guidance needed to carry out their responsibilities and contribute to the Universityโs continuing pursuit of excellence in instruction, research, innovation, extension, and public service.
