DOrSU, Ediphi Introduce AI-Powered Hotel Training App for Hospitality Students

Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) is exploring a new way of preparing hospitality management students for hotel operations through the NOVA Property Management System (PMS) Training App, an AI-powered learning platform developed by Ediphi.
The application was introduced during an orientation and pilot testing held on October 7 at the DOrSU Hotel, where participants explored its features and how it could be used as a training tool to simulate actual hotel front-office operations.
The system is designed to give students hands-on experience with a property management system similar to those used in the hospitality industry. It includes 13 core lessons covering guest and company profiles, reservation creation and modifications, room assignment, check-in procedures, group bookings, cashier functions, night audit, and a final mastery examination.
The app also provides AI-generated feedback and performance tracking, allowing students to receive feedback on their performance while helping instructors monitor their learning progress. Through the Ediphi Platform, faculty members can view student performance, review assessment results, generate reports, and track engagement and learning outcomes. Students can also access the platform through desktop and mobile devices.
The training app aims to strengthen students’ familiarity with hotel systems while giving them opportunities to practice operational tasks before encountering them in actual hospitality workplaces.
For DOrSU, the initiative offers another way to connect classroom learning with the technology used in the hospitality industry. It also supports flexible training by reducing the need for physical hotel-system setups during practice sessions, while giving students a space to practice hotel operations, receive feedback, and build confidence before applying their skills in real-world hospitality settings.
