DOrSU Earns Positive Remarks in CDA XI Monitoring

Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) received positive remarks from the Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office XI (CDA XI) during the first monitoring and evaluation of its accredited Cooperative Training Provider (CTPro) program on July 8, 2026.
The monitoring aimed to assess DOrSU’s compliance with the requirements and standards set by the CDA for accredited cooperative training providers. It also looked into the University’s efforts to maintain the quality of its cooperative education and training services.
During the evaluation, the CDA XI team noted DOrSU’s consistent efforts to maintain the required standards and remain a competent and reliable training provider. The team also expressed appreciation for the quality of the training materials prepared and used by the University, including its presentation materials.
The positive feedback is significant as DOrSU is among the few State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) accredited as cooperative training providers and is the only accredited provider of its kind in Davao Oriental.
The CDA XI monitoring team was composed of Junamay Zabate-Roble, CDS II; Iyv B. Lacubtan, CDS II; and Claudine Fate S. Chamen, CDA staff.
Representing the DOrSU Cooperative Development Center (CDC) were Center Director Jeni A. Nicolas, DBM, and Center Staff Rosebella C. Tonares, MAEd.
The monitoring covered the requirements under CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2015-09 and CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2023-11, as well as relevant laws and regulations governing cooperatives in the country.
The activity forms part of the CDA’s efforts to ensure that accredited CTPros continue to follow established standards and provide quality cooperative education and training. It also promotes accountability and continuous improvement among training providers.
The positive result of the monitoring highlights DOrSU’s continued commitment to quality service and cooperative development. Through its Cooperative Development Center, the University continues to strengthen its role in providing relevant and reliable training programs that support the growth and development of cooperatives in Davao Oriental.
