AACCUP Lead accreditor lauds DOrSU’s commitment to quality

Lead Accreditor Dr. Laureana M. Lingan of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) lauded Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) for its sustained commitment to quality during the closing ceremony of the accreditation survey conducted from August 4 to 6.
Dr. Lingan said the active participation of DOrSU President Roy G. Ponce throughout the accreditation process reflected the University’s strong support for quality assurance.
“It is seldom that a university president attends both the opening and exit conferences of an accreditation visit,” Dr. Lingan said, noting that President Ponce’s presence demonstrated the University’s commitment to quality and excellence.
She also thanked the University for its warm hospitality and recognized the dedication of the faculty members and personnel who worked for the accreditation.
“The faculty members who were involved in the accreditation deserve a one-day vacation,” she said, acknowledging their hard work and dedication throughout the evaluation process.
President Ponce thanked Dr. Lingan and the AACCUP accreditation team for their thorough evaluation and assured them that the University would take their recommendations to heart to further improve its academic programs.
He also emphasized that accreditation remains one of DOrSU’s strategic priorities under its GROWTH 2029 vision, with quality at the core of the University’s services.
The AACCUP accreditation visit covered the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at the DOrSU Main Campus and the Bachelor of Elementary Education at the San Isidro Campus.
