Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU), through the Faculty of Advanced and International Studies (FAIS), in partnership with EduQuest, Inc., conducted the Digital Knowledge Creation 2026: E-Book Publication Seminar-Writeshop on March 24, 2026, at the DOrSU FAIS Library.
The whole-day activity centered on the theme, “Bridging Research, Instruction, and Innovation through Structured E-Publishing and Authorship Development.”
The seminar featured resource speakers from EduQuest, Inc., including Dr. John M. Bagcal and Dr. Danny M. Te, both EduQuest authors. Also joining the activity were Ms. Beverly L. Pusodan, Professional Educational Representative of South Mindanao EduQuest, Inc.; Ms. Patrisha M. Ferrer, Direct Manager of Mindanao EduQuest, Inc.; and Ms. Julie Anne V. Porol, President of EduQuest, Inc.
The discussions covered e-book publication processes, authorship agreements and benefits, writing techniques, concept paper development, and initial draft writing. The activity aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills in e-book writing, publication, and authorship, helping them strengthen their research, instructional, and academic writing outputs.
The activity supported the university’s academic and research agenda by giving faculty members and graduate students practical training in developing publishable outputs, which may later be used in instruction, research dissemination, and extension work.
