UPLB, DOrSU launch Network for Circular Economy, Regenerative Agriculture
The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, April 12, at Davao del Norte State College. The MOU aims to create the Network for Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture. This network focuses on promoting a circular economy and regenerative agriculture, crucial pillars in addressing environmental challenges and promoting long-term sustainability.
The MOU facilitates the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise between UPLB and DOrSU, integrating sustainable practices into academic curricula, research endeavors, and community engagement initiatives. Both universities are committed to facilitating the exchange of faculty, researchers, and students and organizing lectures and capacity-building programs focused on circular economy principles and regenerative agriculture practices.
By leveraging their strengths and expertise, UPLB and DOrSU aim to contribute significantly to the advancement of higher education and sustainable development in the Philippines.
