Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) officially commenced the three-day online accreditation survey visit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. today, August 4, covering two academic programs offered by its Main Campus and San Isidro Extension Campus.
The accreditation covers the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science of the Main Campus for its Fourth Survey, Phase 2, and the Bachelor of Elementary Education of the San Isidro Extension Campus for its Third Survey. The evaluation is being conducted by the AACCUP survey team composed of Dr. Laureana M. Lingan, Survey Team Coordinator; Dr. Lita B. Sopsop and Dr. Irene A. De Vera, accreditors for the BS in Environmental Science program; and Dr. Erlinda S. Jiz de Ortega, accreditor for the Bachelor of Elementary Education program.
During the three-day survey, the accreditors will evaluate the programs across key areas, including instruction, research, extension, faculty, student support, library, laboratories, physical facilities, planning, administration, graduate performance, international linkages, and other quality assurance mechanisms.
The accreditation survey underscores DOrSU’s continuing commitment to strengthening academic quality and institutional excellence through external quality assurance. The survey will conclude on August 6 with a closing program, during which the AACCUP survey team will present its general observations and recommendations.
