DOrSU officials join 2026 PASUC Annual Convention, General Assembly

Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU), represented by Executive Assistant Atty. John Rey R. Codilla and Director for Planning and Development Dr. Ray John A. Salimaco, is participating in the 2026 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Annual Convention and General Assembly from July 13 to 15, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City.
The three-day national gathering carries the theme, “Transformative Leadership and Strategic Governance: Empowering SUCs for Sustainable and Inclusive Futures.”
The convention brings together leaders of state universities and colleges, policymakers, educators, government representatives, industry stakeholders, international experts, and development partners.
Among the major activities are a high-level dialogue with national education leaders and plenary sessions focusing on governance, innovation, digital transformation, research, and human capital development. These discussions provide participants with insights into emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the administration and development of public higher education institutions.
The program also features Leaders’ Exchange Sessions with experts from government, industry, and international organizations. The sessions allow SUC officials to share institutional experiences, discuss effective practices, and explore strategies for strengthening governance, institutional responsiveness, and the delivery of accessible and quality higher education.
Through their participation, Codilla and Salimaco are expected to gain relevant perspectives that may support DOrSU’s executive coordination, institutional planning, digital transformation, research development, and human resource strategies.
The convention likewise provides opportunities for networking and partnership-building among SUCs, enabling institutions to explore collaborative programs and initiatives responsive to national development priorities.
DOrSU’s participation reflects its continuing engagement with the broader Philippine higher education community and its commitment to strengthening institutional leadership, strategic governance, and collaboration toward regenerative futures.
