DOrSU Sends Third Batch of Trainees to Malaysia

In a send-off ceremony held today, November 20, Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) officially sent its third batch of trainees to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a six-month immersion program in the hospitality industry.
The trainees will be deployed across several premier hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Sheraton Hotel will host three (3) students, Sofitel KL Damansara will accommodate seven (7), Westin Hotel will take in eleven (11), while Renaissance Hotel will train six (6) students. These placements allow participants to work in globally renowned hotel chains, enhancing their exposure to world-class service standards.
The immersion program offers hands-on experience in various aspects of hotel operations, including customer service, food and beverage management, front office work, and housekeeping. University officials expressed pride in the students’ achievements, emphasizing the program’s role in producing globally competent graduates equipped for the demands of the international hospitality sector.
This international deployment also further strengthens DOrSU’s partnerships with leading hospitality institutions in Malaysia, opening more avenues for future collaborations, expanded training programs, and career pathways for students.
