EDIPHI Training Programs, DOrSU Forge Partnership for Student Internship Abroad
To enhance students’ global exposure and practical training, EDIPHI Training Programs, Inc. and Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) have formalized today, August 12, a partnership through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This agreement aims to provide students from various courses at DOrSU the opportunity to participate in international internship programs across multiple countries, including France, Spain, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
The MOA, signed by Ms. Marwin M. Rosal, EDIPHI Director for Sales and Marketing, and Dr. Roy G. Ponce, President of DOrSU, outlines the terms and responsibilities of both parties in facilitating the internships. EDIPHI, an international internship facilitator with offices in Makati City and Taguig City, Metro Manila, will coordinate the placement of DOrSU students in reputable foreign host establishments (FHEs) to ensure they gain valuable hands-on training and international experience.
Under the agreement, DOrSU will support this initiative by recommending pre-qualified students from programs such as Hospitality Management, and other related courses. These students will have the opportunity to participate in full-time internships abroad, lasting between six to twelve months.
EDIPHI, on its part, will oversee the training programs, provide orientation and assistance, and ensure that the students are placed in safe and conducive environments for learning. The company will also facilitate student-intern registration with the nearest Philippine Foreign Service Post upon their arrival in the host country.
A notable feature of this agreement is the provision for a free trip for a DOrSU representative to visit locations where students are currently interning. This incentive is designed to allow the university to conduct ocular visits and ensure the quality of the internship programs.
This partnership is expected to significantly boost the global competitiveness of DOrSU graduates by providing them with international experience and exposure to different cultures and professional environments. (DOrSU PIO)
