Hon. Hussein Muñoz Visits DOrSU, Discusses Establishment of Islamic Studies Center
Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) President Dr. Roy G. Ponce recently welcomed Hon. Hussein Muñoz, Minister of Peace and Order and a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament. Minister Muñoz engaged in a productive meeting with the Muslim Student Organization (MSO) at DOrSU, highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering inclusive and diverse educational opportunities.
A key topic of discussion was the potential establishment of a DORSU Islamic Studies Center. This proposed center aims to offer comprehensive programs in Islamic Studies, Arabic, and Shariah Law.
Additionally, Minister Muñoz mentioned the possibility of a donation to support the creation of a dedicated campus for the Islamic Studies Center.
