DOrSU Hosts Guest Lecture Series with Interns from Ghent University
Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) is hosting a group of research interns from Ghent University, Belgium, as part of a Guest Lecture Series. The Global Affairs and International Relations Office (GAIRO) has organized this event to enrich academic learning and promote cross-cultural exchange in biology, environmental science, and agriculture.
The first session of the Guest Lecture Series took place today, May 2, 2024, at the Graduate School Library. This marks the beginning of a series of educational events attended by students and faculty members from various disciplines, including the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
The Guest Lecture Series consists of multiple sessions on May 2, May 8, and May 15. It features esteemed research interns from Ghent University’s International Master of Science in Marine Science and Biological Resources (IMBRSea) program. The speakers, Maria Galveia, Lucas Dwigt, Olivier Kempen, Virginia Campanella, and Lelie Depoorter, each bring their distinct expertise and perspectives, promising a rich and diverse learning experience.
This collaborative initiative aims to promote high-quality education, foster sustainable partnerships, and align with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on quality education.
