DOrSU Strengthens Ties with Royal University of Phnom Penh for Academic Collaboration
Davao Oriental State Universityโs (DOrSU) Bachelor of Science in Development Communication program has initiated an international partnership with the Department of Media and Communication at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in Cambodia.
The partnership was discussed during a recent meeting led by Mr. Mark Aljen Binocal, MSc, a faculty member, alongside Dr. Carmela N. Hadia, Program Head of BS Development Communication, and Dr. Lilibeth Galvez, Director of the Global Affairs and International Relations Office. Representing RUPP was Mr. Ung Bun Y, Director of the Department of Media and Communication at the Cambodia Communication Institute.
Discussions focused on potential collaborations between DOrSU and RUPP, particularly in the areas of journalism, communication, and media production. Both institutions aim to establish cross-cultural partnerships to enhance the understanding of Filipino and Cambodian cultures and to form a joint student club.
The BS Development Communication faculty is currently drafting a Memorandum of Agreement to formalize the partnership and facilitate future initiatives.
