364 DOrSU students receive food packs

A total of 364 students of the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) Main Campus received food packs through the initiative of Davao Oriental 2nd District Representative, Hon. Cheeno Miguel D. Almario. The food pack distribution, held on February 14 at the DOrSU Student Center, supplemented the university-led donation drive to aid students adversely affected by recent flooding. The students, identified by the University’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA), hail from the City of Mati and other municipalities in the province’s second district— Banaybanay, Lupon, San Isidro, and Governor Generoso.
Congressman Almario personally handed out the food packs to the students. Assisting him during the distribution were his father, DOrSU Founder and Board of Regent member, Hon. Joel Mayo Z. Almario, along with DOrSU Alumni Regent and Davao Oriental Board Member, Hon. Rotchie M. Ravelo; and City of Mati Councilors, Hon. Edmundo Pang, Jr. and Hon. Roger Pabio.
In his message, Congressman Almario emphasized the importance of solidarity in times of crisis, stressing the importance of mutual support within the community. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to supporting DOrSU’s initiatives and vowed to continue championing its endeavors.
