VP Admin: In our workplace as a Christian, we are gospel – bound to live by example
“In our workplace as a Christian, we are gospel – bound to live by example” said President Emeritus Dr. Edito B. Sumile, current DOrSU Vice – president for Administrative Affairs, during his talk about “The Church: In the Eyes of the Academe” in Lenten Recollection livestreamed via FB Page of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Mati on April 1, 2022.
Dr. Sumile emphasized that, regardless of position, employees must look at their coworkers, superiors and subordinates, through the faithful Christian love.
The VP Admin went on to say that faith must be shown in action, as faith without action is dead.
In the later part of his message, Dr. Sumile enumerated ways to translate the kind of love shown by God.
“The most difficult part is to be loving, patient, and kind to those who do not reciprocate, but when you become frustrated with setting a good example, think of what Galatians 6: 9 say about not growing weary while doing good, for in due season humans shall reap if they do not lose heart.” He added.
According to Dr. Sumile employees may help create a Christ-centered workplace by following Jesus’ golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated.
