DOrSU hosts ADDVentures Caravan, backs startup innovation in Davao Oriental

Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) underscored its commitment to inclusive innovation as it hosted the ADDVentures Caravan in Davao Oriental on Wednesday, July 24, 2025, at the University Boardroom.
The caravan was organized in partnership with the ADDVentures Innovation Center of Ateneo de Davao University and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), aiming to connect local startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs with national support programs, mentorship opportunities, and innovation-driven resources.
Representing DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Roy M. Padilla delivered the welcome message, highlighting the university’s ongoing initiatives in research and entrepreneurship and its role in advancing regional development through innovation.
The event featured an overview of the ADDVentures Innovation Center delivered by Ms. Neshren Ebno, TBI Manager, on behalf of Director Dr. Rogel Mari D. Sese. A discussion on the ADDVentures Incubation Program followed, along with a presentation on DOrSU’s startup innovation efforts delivered by Director for Innovation Dr. Venson B. Sarita. Ms. Mirasol G. Domingo, Provincial Science and Technology Director of PSTO-Davao Oriental, also presented DOST programs for Filipino startups.
DOrSU’s active role in hosting and participating in the event highlights its growing contribution to research, innovation, and sustainable entrepreneurship in Eastern Mindanao. (DOrSU PIO)
