Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU), through its Bachelor of Science in Criminology program under the Faculty of Criminal Justice Education, has been recognized as one of Region XIโs Exemplary Performing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the February 2025 Criminologist Licensure Examination.
This recognition follows the universityโs notable 80.43% passing rate under Category C (51โ100 examinees), reflecting DOrSUโs strong commitment to academic excellence and the professional readiness of its graduates.
The โ Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology, and the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAP), formally awarded the Plaque of Recognition during the Oathtaking Ceremonies and Induction of New PCAP Members held on April 27 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.
Also honored during the event was Christian Alao Cabatlao, a graduate of the same program, who attained a commendable rating of 89.60% and ranked 5th nationwide among all examinees of the February 2025 board exam.
In a social media post, the Faculty of Criminal Justice Education expressed heartfelt congratulations to all newly licensed criminologists from DOrSU, recognizing their dedication and resilience throughout their academic journey.
