DOrSU Receives Special Citation, Second Platinum Award at IPOPHL ITSO Summit

Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) achieved two prestigious recognitions at the IPOPHL Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) Presidents’ Summit, held at Sequoia Hotel in Manila today, April 10.
The university received a Special Citation Award for having filed at least 10 patent applications, making it one of only 15 state universities and colleges (SUCs) out of approximately 100 ITSO members nationwide to be honored for this achievement.
In addition, DOrSU earned its second consecutive Platinum Award, a distinction given to institutions that show outstanding performance in innovation and intellectual property. This marks the university’s sustained excellence in advancing research and protecting intellectual property.
DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce lauded the university’s researchers and innovators for their dedication to building a strong culture of innovation and intellectual property creation. He emphasized that these recognitions reflect the university’s vision of becoming a leading research-driven institution that contributes to national development and technological advancement.
