Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) was recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through the Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards during a ceremony held today, April 2, 2025, at the Manila Hotel in Manila.
This recognition emphasizes DOrSUβs strong adherence to CHEDβs quality standards, particularly in program accreditation, and its consistent performance in the Board of Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT). Meeting these criteria reflects the universityβs dedication to producing highly qualified and skilled educators.
DOrSU is listed among the Top 10% of Teacher Education Institutions in the country with Dual Awards in both Elementary and Secondary Education in the Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education Awards (EQUATE).
Receiving the awards were DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce, Dean of the Faculty of Advanced and International Studies Dr. Gemma M. Valdez, and FTEd Dean Dr. Helina Jean P. Dupa.
DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce expressed gratitude for the award, emphasizing that it is a result of the collective efforts of the universityβs faculty, staff, and students.
