Universitas Islam Indonesia, DOrSU Seal Academic and Research Partnership in Mathematics

Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) and Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) have formalized a partnership to strengthen academic and research collaboration in Mathematics and Statistics. Through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), both institutions aim to foster joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, and cultural engagement. The virtual signing ceremony, attended by key officials from UII and DOrSU is a significant step toward advancing scholarly cooperation between the two universities.
The agreement, signed by DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce and UII Rector Dr. Fathul Wahid, outlines key areas of collaboration, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, academic seminars, and curriculum development. It also paves the way for joint consultancies, the sharing of academic resources, and the organization of international conferences and workshops.
“This partnership signifies our commitment to expanding global academic networks and providing our students and faculty with opportunities for international engagement,” Dr. Ponce stated. “We look forward to meaningful collaborations that will enhance research and innovation in our respective institutions.”
Under the agreement, both universities will designate liaison officers to coordinate specific projects and ensure the successful implementation of joint programs. Intellectual property rights and financial arrangements for future initiatives will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The partnership reflects DOrSU’s continuous efforts to establish strong international linkages, supporting its mission to advance research-based education and global collaboration in science, technology, and mathematics. (DOrSU PIO)
