DOrSU Sends Off 39 Students for Internship in Malaysia
Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) held a departure orientation and send-off ceremony today, January 23, for 39 Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) students who are set to undergo a six-month internship program in Malaysia.
The internship aims to provide students with international exposure and hands-on experience in their field, in line with DOrSU’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates.
University officials, faculty members, and parents attended the send-off ceremony to express their support and encouragement for the students. The event was made possible through the efforts of the BSHM Program, led by Mr. Renante M. Andrada, and the Global Affairs and International Relations Office, headed by Dr. Lilibeth S. Galvez. Discussions during the orientation, led by Mr. V. K. Kumeresan, President and CEO of World Skills Academy, covered cultural adaptation, professional expectations, and essential travel guidelines to ensure a smooth transition abroad.
The internship program is part of DOrSU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and equip students with the skills and experience needed to excel in a globalized workforce. (DOrSU PIO)
