DOrSU Starts Capacity-Building Program for Bangsamoro Youth in Mati
Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU), through its Tourism Information, Education, and Communication (TIEC) Center led by Dr. Rose Anelyn V. Ceniza, started a capacity-building program for the Bangsamoro Youth Association (BYA) in Bobon, City of Mati, on November 27. The program is designed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of local producers and manufacturers, including those involved in producing Pancit Bobon.
The program kicked off with two activities: Label It Right: A Guide to Effective Food Labeling and Packaging and Brand Identity Essentials: Creating Effective Logos for Your Business. These sessions provided training on food labeling laws, packaging techniques, and logo design using graphic design tools.
This initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DOrSU and the City LGU of Mati, as well as a separate MOA between DOrSU and BYA. Additional activities are scheduled for next year to further support the Bangsamoro youth in building sustainable businesses.
This partnership underscores DOrSUβs commitment to empowering local communities through education, innovation, and collaboration. (DOrSU PIO)
