DOST-SEI Scholars, Parents Attend Scholarship Orientation

Accompanied by their parents and guardians, eighteen (18) new scholars from across Davao Oriental who qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship participated in an orientation organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Provincial S&T Office of Davao Oriental, in collaboration with the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) Financial Aids and Scholarship Grants Office.
The event, held on July 12, 2024, at the DOrSU Graduate School Library, was spearheaded by Ms. Mirasol G. Domingo, Davao Oriental S&T Director, alongside Ms. Herna V. Coloquio, Ms. Krisia Jan Buma-at, and Mr. Ramel Salon. During the orientation, the participants were informed about the scholarship’s terms and conditions, including priority programs, grade requirements, study placement options, and the various benefits scholars will receive.
The DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Program aims to nurture future leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The program covers tuition and other school fees, a monthly stipend, allowances for learning materials and connectivity, thesis or dissertation preparation, and graduation expenses.
Six (6) of the new batch of scholars are expected to enroll in various S&T programs offered by DOrSU.
