DOrSU joins Q2 Nat’l earthquake drill

To participate in the Second Quarter National Earthquake drill today, June 9, 2022, all offices at Davao Oriental State University ‘duck, cover, and hold.’

‘Duck, cover, and hold’ practice is one of the safety procedures to protect someone from falling objects or debris in the event of an earthquake. It means ‘duck’ to the ground, take ‘cover’ under a sturdy table or desk, and ‘hold’ on until the shaking stops.

The practice attempts to promote schoolwide understanding of what to do in the event of an earthquake, including what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.
