DOrSU welcomes international students from Ghent University

DOrSU welcomed two Erasmus Mundus graduate students from Ghent University during the flag raising ceremony earlier this morning, April 18, 2022.

Ms. Torrey R. Gorra and Ms. Gervaise Barre, international students from the Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources program, will collaborate with Prof. Edison Macusi and this university’s Regional Integrated Coastal Resources Management Center on research projects until July 2022.

Ms. Gorra will be part of the project titled, “Catch and effort mapping of small-scale fishers of Davao Gulf”. Ms. Barre, on the other hand, will be working on the study titled, “Shrimp Supply Chain Vulnerability, Threats, and Challenges in Davao Region”.

President Roy G. Ponce expressed his appreciation to these delegates for choosing DOrSU as their research partner.
