DOrSU, DILG sign MoA on LGPRC Operationalization

DOrSU President Roy G. Ponce signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), represented by Provincial Director Orle A. Cabaobao, on the organization of the Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Committee for the Operationalization of the Local Governance Provincial Resource Center (LGPRC) of Davao Oriental, last April 1, 2022, at the University Boardroom.

As a partner, DOrSU will provide space for the resource materials, collaborate with DILG – Davao Oriental in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the LGPRC’s programs, projects, and activities, provide technical expertise and assistance on the research component, intervention programs implementation, and advocacy development, facilitate the conduct of intervention programs/training and seminars, among others, in coordination with the Multi- stakeholders Advisory Committee MSAC members, develop information and data, and provide technical expertise and assistance on the research component, intervention program implementation, and advocacy development.

President Ponce and PD Cabaobao then cut the ribbon to formally launch the Local Governance Provincial Resource Center located on the second floor of the University Library.

LGPRC will be integrated in the Data Science Center management of DOrSU.
