17 Exhibitors Gather for DOrSU’s 3-Day Book Fair

Seventeen exhibitors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are participating in Davao Oriental State University’s (DOrSU) three-day book fair from March 10 to March 12, 2025. The event aims to expand students’ access to academic resources and promote a strong reading culture within the university.
Publishers and booksellers are presenting a wide selection of materials, including textbooks, research references, and general literature. These resources support DOrSU’s efforts to provide updated learning materials, a priority emphasized by University President Dr. Roy G. Ponce.
DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce emphasized the university’s commitment to maintaining an innovative library that meets the evolving needs of students and faculty. He highlighted the importance of continuously updating the collection to keep pace with academic advancements. He also reaffirmed the enduring relevance of printed books despite technological advancements, noting that while digital resources are expanding, physical books remain essential for learning and research.
Supporting this commitment to quality learning resources, Ms. Crisel M. Jadraque, Account Manager of Liber Enterprise, highlighted the variety of books available at the event. She shared that distributors have brought their best collection of references specifically tailored for teachers, deans, and librarians.
The University Learning and Information Resource Center (ULIRC), under the leadership of Ms. Maida Santos, organized the book fair in coordination with the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The event strengthens the university’s collaboration with educational institutions and industry partners to improve access to books and learning materials. It is open to students, faculty, and the public.
Seventeen book agencies are participating in the event. These include Super Pages Trading, Fastbooks Educational Supply, Inc., F and J De Jesus, Inc., Great Books Trading, Serv Enterprises, Belview Co., Inc., Megatexts Phil., Inc., and CD Books Int’l., Inc. Other agencies present are New Century Books & Gen. Mdse., LIBRI, Liber Enterprise, LJL Book Trading, Nikephoros Office Supplies, Wiseman’s Books Trading, Mind Tools, Inc., C & E Publishing, Inc., and Golden Books Services, Inc.
