“Kalig-on”, a community-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for young adults, is a partnership program of DOrSU and the Diocese of Mati through its Commission on Health.
Guided by the four functions: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery program of the disaster risk reduction and management of the university, “Kalig-on” aims to assess the mental health condition of young adults, determine symptoms of common mental health issues and concerns of young people and educate, and train them on adaptive coping strategies to conquer mental health issues and concerns.
This community-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Extension Project started on June 2022 until May this year. It was led by Project Leader Dr Rose Anelyn V. Ceniza as a joint venture of the BSNED program, FTEd, GCTC, and the UDRRMC to bridge the gap in addressing the mental health issues of young people. (DOrSU PIO)
