Gender Sensitivity Training conducted to women-coconut farmers of Sigaboy, Municipality of Governor Generoso

As part of the celebration of the International Women’s Day, a Gender Sensitivity Training was conducted to women-coconut farmers of Sigaboy, Municipality of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental today, March 8, 2023. The conduct of training was in partnership with the Gender Research and Resource Center – Davao Oriental State University, the Philippine Coconut Authority, and the Department of Trade of Industry.

Mr. Jhonnel P. Villegas, a member of the GAD Speakers’ Bureau, and Dr. Jeralyn H. Sacro, a GAD Focal Person discussed topics on Sex and Gender: the Biosocial Perspective and Sex and Gender: the Legal Perspective, respectively.

Also present in the training were Dr. Mary Fil M. Bauyot, Director for Extension pf DOrSU, Ms. Florence Fernandez, Acting Division Chief of PCA, and other personnel from DTI.
