Abundance and Distribution of the Philippine Brown Deer (Rusa marianna Desmarest, 1822) in the Obu Manuvu Ancestral Domain, Mindanao Island, Philippines

A paper titled “Abundance and Distribution of the Philippine Brown Deer (Rusa marianna Desmarest, 1822) in the Obu Manuvu Ancestral Domain, Mindanao Island, Philippines,” authored by Mr. Jhonnel P. Villegas was published in the Acta Biologica Universitatis Daugavpiliensis.

Through camera trapping techniques, the study tackles deer abundance and distribution in the unprotected regions of the Mount Apo Range in Davao City, Philippines. It also elaborates on the perception of the Obu Manuvu indigenous community towards the endemic deer species.
