DOrSU Clinches Multiple Awards at 7th IOHSK International Conference
Davao Oriental State University’s Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program faculty and students received multiple awards and accolades at the 7th International Organization for Health, Sports, and Kinesiology (IOHSK) International Conference held at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila from July 15 to 19, 2024.
Faculty members Mr. Pink Floyd Boyles and co-authors Ms. Hazel Joyce M. Cariaga, Dr. Arvin A. Andacao, Dr. Leonard Sedrick Pajo, Ms. Niña Alyssa M. Santiago, and Mr. Japy O. Sumambot were awarded the Outstanding Oral Presentation for their research on ‘Dance Imagery and Academic Well-being of Regional Performers.’. Meanwhile, BPEd student Allan Catalan Jr., together with Dr. Andacao, received the Outstanding Research Critique Presentation award.
Additionally, Davao Oriental State University was recognized as the Most Engaged University (Global Top 7) for its exemplary performance and participation in IOHSK-organized activities.
The event was participated by 33 universities from the USA, Nepal, South Korea, India, Bangladesh, Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines.
