DOrSU launches program to provide affordable food items; increase income of farmers, fisherfolk
Davao Oriental State University launched an initiative called ‘Kadiwa sa Tate’ on May 8. This project is based on the KADIWA program of the Department of Agriculture, which aims to address the problem of rising food prices due to global inflation. Its primary goal is to provide affordable food items to consumers while simultaneously increasing the income of farmers, fisherfolks, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
‘Kadiwa sa Tate’ is part of the Keeping Income-Target (KITA) Project under the Strategically Advanced Knowledge Towards Optimization (SAKTO) Program of DOrSU’s BS Business Administration program.
The ‘Kadiwa sa Tate’ initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Agriculture – Region XI, Provincial Agriculture – Davao Oriental, and DOrSU.
