Groundbreaking held for new DOrSU research center

Davao Oriental State University held a groundbreaking ceremony today, July 8, 2022, at Marfori Demo Farm, Don Enrique Lopez, City of Mati, Davao Oriental, to mark the beginning of construction of the University Biodiversity Research Center.

The facility will have a showcase area where samples and research findings will be displayed, a sun-drying area outside, a conference room, a room for storage, and rooms for instrumentation and analysis.

This land development will also have a pond, flower beds with trails and a water feature, a nursery with a boardwalk and a bird observation post, and a hanging bridge connecting the butterfly garden to the two-storey biodiversity research center.

This center is expected to be complete by March 2023.
