4th International Biodiversity Conference: Pre-conference workshop

#IBC2026 | As a prelude to the 4th International Biodiversity Conference, a pre-conference workshop on biodiversity mapping and remote sensing will take place on October 20 at the DOrSU Boardroom.

​Assoc. Prof. Jonathan S. Cabrera, PhD, will lead a hands-on workshop on mapping species distribution using MaxEnt, while Prof. Han Soo Lee, PhD, and Gandhi Napitupulu, MSc, will discuss remote sensing applications for bathymetric estimation and sediment classification.

​The sessions will introduce participants to research tools and techniques that contribute to a better understanding of species distribution, coastal environments, and ecosystem dynamics.

​​And this is just the beginning! More opportunities for learning, discovery, and collaboration await as IBC 2026 officially opens on October 21.
